The Jamie Marx Co. ~ Revolution Through Design
The Jamie Marx Co. can be summed up in one word. Freedom. Originally established in 2004 by Matthew Senna, the label grew out of a desire to see people moved to action through the catalysts of fashion and design. The brand’s message is a call to arms against any and all issues that seek to tear down the greater good. We can no longer stand idle, enabling the negative establishment that surrounds us. The Jamie Marx Co. embarks on creative endeavors that seek to create a cultural revolution through knowledge and awareness. It’s time to start thinking for yourself—find truth in enlightenment.
The Jamie Marx Co. is split into two lines. The Mr. Marx Militia and Jamie Marx Standard Issue. The Mr Marx Militia is our more accessible lower price point line built for the masses. Our Standard Issue is an ultra-limited high end collection focusing on hand driven craftsmanship, art, and construction.
- The Mr. Marx Militia -
Originally developed in response to a harsh economic climate and the demand for accessibility and quality, Mr. Marx Militia operates within the realization that awareness should not be limited. Superior value for the masses means creating a movement that knows no boundaries. The Mr. Marx Militia uses 100% cotton garments with messages addressing today’s important social and political issues.
This is the voice of revolution.
- Jamie Marx Standard Issue –
The heart of The Jamie Marx Co. is the Standard Issue line, designed with expert quality in limited numbers and offered only at select retailers worldwide. All Standard Issue products from tee-shirts to furniture, embody the craftsman-like ideals found in fashion, art, and design. Garments from this collection utilize sustainable textiles, such as bamboo, in order to support the brand’s mission of enlightenment, knowledge and awareness. The craft of the artist ignites true change.
-Each Standard Issue collection will be accompanied by an “accessory” to the line. Each accessory will embody what ever issues the line has covered with that collection. The accessories, will start off being
furniture pieces such as chairs and tables, but will expand into watches, jewelry or what ever we feel fitting for that collection. For the first line we will be introducing a chair designed in Germany with our good friend Lars Amhoff of The Substain.
