Trailer of Carlito’s Way made by Brian De Palma in 1993. (Al Pacino, Sean Penn)
This movie informed as well as enforced certain beliefs that ran rapid among street dudes or those that aspired to be. It is the story of Carlito and things that he experienced upon leaving the game and having to make room for the new breed of what he once was! It’s deep and I strongly suggest you view if you ain’t seen it yet!

“Scheming on taking what your brother had? You little sucka, you talkin all that jazz!” is one of the most memorable lines of that time and it came from Stetsasonic one of the first hip-hop bands! Stetsasonic was an American hip hop group formed in 1981 in Brooklyn, New York. It is remembered as one of the first hip-hop crews to use a live band, and their positive, uplifting lyrics have made the group forerunners of alternative hip hop and jazz hip-hop.
In this 1980′s “Miami Vice” clip, you see Chris and Phillip Michael sport their young processes on a cool level! Not only that but this is what dude who posted the vid said’ “This is a clip from the 80′s hit Miami Vice. For those that are just getting into technology you were not around when the latest technology was BBS boards. Not only is this the first show I think Chris Rock was on still looking like Pookie from “New Jack City” but this was 7 years after I got into technology and it finally became mainstream enough to be included in shows or the media” and to that I say, “wow!”
Some of us are or knows someone who is always complaining and making excuses for minor things or things that just seem a bit out of our control. To you I say, look @ Knute and then make an excuse as he is walking again after two decades plus in a wheelchair!
Knute’s story offers hope for many in the TBI population. His new video is a concrete example of how Knute’s hard work and using the Second Step Gait Harness System has made walking again possible, even after 22 wheelchair bound years. Since the previous video, Knute has increased his distance over 500 feet per session walking and only needs ONE assistant with him instead of four. These huge changes mean he is becoming more independent every day!! Through the grace of god, it looks like Knute will be foot working in no time!
