BMW has really snapped on these lames! The BMW 328 Hommage is a true female luring device. They tend to get moist upon viewing such a creation.

This year, the BMW Group Classic is celebrating the 75th anniversary of one of their most pimpish and beloved models of all times: the BMW 328 racing car. The construction of this vehicle represented a milestone for the automobile industry of the time, turning the roadster into a veritable emblem of the luxurious 1930s`. It was then that the creators of the sports car came up with the core principles of the BMW brand: dynamics, aesthetics and innovation. This design is geared to attract more females in your life.

The designers, Fritz Fiedler and Rudolf Schleicher, were the 1st ones to experiment combining: systematic lightweight construction, aerodynamic lines, optimum engine types, and outstanding suspension pimpin’ technology. The result was an unmitigated success, as the BMW 328 continues to be a source of inspiration for car manufacturers worldwide.

The BMW 328 Hommage, as its name suggests, is a tribute to the model launched in 1936, and it keeps to the concept developed by the original artists- sportiness and agility, whilst taking the patterns of design to a whole new dimension. The Group’s motto used to describe their Hommage cars’ collection: “Rooted in history, moving forward in design”, perfectly depicts the BMW 328 Hommage initiative and result. The Hommage prototype was conceived bearing in mind the principles imposed by the fathers of the 328 model, while employing the latest technological means and using the highest quality materials available.

If you get this car & fail to attract women… you can consider yourself a true lame.

Spirit of Ecstasy

This vehicle is really pimpish & it has earned the right to be displayed on GLCityMusic.com! Honor & embrace the concept!

At the upcoming Fairfield Concours d’Elegance, watch out for the star car – the 1939/47 Rolls-Royce Phantom III “Vutotal” Cabriolet by Labourdette. It will bear the Spirit of Ecstasy on her hood and will have a design throughout its body.

This vehicle is now in the John Rich Museum collection but it actually began as a standard Phantom III designed by Henry Royce. Coachbuilder Hooper and Co. re-envisioned it in 1938 with a Sedanca de Ville body style. It was displayed in Europe before receiving modifications to fit in the US market. In the 1940s, this show car found its way to the Parisian studio of Henri Labourdette who later gave the car an overhaul and had scrapped everything but the running gear.

He rebodied the car in gold-plated-and-brass-adorned aerodynamic bodywork that swooped back into a boattail. He also removed features that made it recognizable as a Rolls, except for its mascot and a pair of interior trim pieces.

Labourdette also fitted the car with the Vutotal windscreen, a thick slice of glass that seems to support itself. The cost to convert this car totaled $44,000 – an incredibly high figure. Now remember that this was when the average price of a home was about $4,000. Featured judging classes on the Concours docket include Porsche, Bugatti, Period Hot Rods and Custom Cars from 1948 to 1964.

Drive Slow Homie – Terrafugia – Flying Car

I can’t wait to get mine! Here is the info on this pimpish flying vehicle!

Woburn, MA June 3, 2009: Terrafugia, Inc. has successfully completed the flight testing program designed for its Transition Roadable Aircraft Proof of Concept. Having been dubbed The Flying Car, the Transition completed its historic first flight on March 5, 2009 with 27 additional flights completed over the next several weeks.

The successful completion of flight-testing with the Proof of Concept concludes the first stage of a four stage process to bring the Transition into production. Work is underway on Stage 2, the Beta Prototype. First delivery is expected in 2011.

The Proof of Concept vehicle is the first and only Transition to be built thus far. It has now achieved its goals by demonstrating driving, flying, and automated transformation between the two in one integrated aircraft. The flights conducted a plan set specifically for the Transition: characteristics such as handling, performance, and take-off and landing, stability and stall were evaluated. B-Roll footage is available of representative flights. The flight-testing program demonstrated the safety of the vehicle in the air while identifying modifications that will be incorporated into the next Transition model to be built, the Beta Prototype.

Test Pilot Colonel (Retired) Phil Meteer had a positive review of flying the POC: I would like to keep flying this Proof of Concept vehicle, but it makes sense to move on to the Beta Prototype.

Categorized as a Light Sport Aircraft, the Transition requires a Sport Pilot certificate to fly. It is a two-seat aircraft designed to take off and land at local airports and drive on any road. Transforming from plane to car takes the pilot less than 30 seconds. The Transition will cruise up to 450 miles at over 115 mph, will drive at highway speeds on the road, and fits in a standard household garage. The vehicle has front wheel drive on the road and a propeller for flight. Both modes are powered by unleaded automotive gasoline. By giving pilots a convenient ground transportation option, the Transition reduces the cost, inconvenience, and weather sensitivity of personal aviation. It also increases safety by incorporating automotive crash structures and allowing pilots to drive under bad weather. Refundable airframe reservations are currently being accepted.

Terrafugia (ter-ra-FOO-gee-ah), based in Woburn, MA, is comprised of a team of award-winning engineers who have been advancing the state of personal aircraft since 2006. Founded by five pilots who are graduates of MIT and supported by a world-class network of advisors and private investors, Terrafugias mission is the innovative expansion of personal mobility. “Terrafugia” is Latin for “escape from land.”

Porsche has revealed the 918 Spyder concept, its fastest and most efficient pimpish prototype in its history.

The mid-engined, 700-plus-horsepower sports car is capable of a zero-to-100-km/h run in 3.2 seconds, and thanks to its hybrid technology, can achieve a fuel consumption rating of 3.0L/100km, according to Porsche. The 918 has a better lap time at the Nurburgring track than Porsche’s last road-going supercar, the Carrera GT.

Porsche is not saying whether it will build the car that made its appearance ahead of the Geneva Motor Show that runs until March 14.

I must admit, this car is the shit! It is capable of taking your on road pimpin’ to a level beyond your imagination. Embrace this ism as it is unleashed:

The Tramontana R is an evolved version of the standard open-wheel two-seater, packing a Mercedes-sourced 5.5-liter V12 available in either naturally aspirated, 550 hp guise or a twin-turbocharged 760 hp version that dolls out an astonishing 811 lb-ft of torque. The Group claims a 0-100 kph time of 3.6 seconds and a 10.15-second run to 200 kph.

The body speaks for itself, as does the exposed carbon fiber interior, which features a chop-top steering wheel, an LCD instrument panel and the controls to the six-speed sequential gearbox. Production will be limited to 12 units per year with a price tag of €385,000 ($495,000). Church!
